Soforbis is the collective creative work of Sophie-Elizabeth Thompson. Brits Sophie is a sculptor who lives and works in Barcelona. His work of creation is sculpture in the purest sense, with each piece handmade and unique. The materials currently used in their work are plaster, charcoal, and clay with its malleability and inherent flexibility allows the creation of abstract structural forms, fluid. After high Coccine, clay also can acquire the texture and finish of the stone, which provide it with strength, weight and tension. They are abstract pieces that find their inspiration in ways both natural and manmade. Despite its obvious strength, with these pieces the aim is to get a fresh brand with balance and tension, in order to create a visually stimulating and attractive sculpture. What fascinates the sculptor is the underlying Skeletal structure of natural objects found, such as bones, plants, seeds and pebbles. The book also is a response to archaeological artifacts and discarded industrial fragments show the effects of weathering and erosion. For many years drawing, photography and collecting have explored these ideas. AQUS The work presented is the result of this exploration growing.
